Scratched Hand

In this card game, you must battle an opponent on two fronts: health and mind. Mind is slower to drain but health is easier for the opponent to defend and counter against so play your cards wisely!

This was a project for my third year at university which focuses on studying AI and difficulty, specifically on how it relates to player enjoyment. After multiple rounds of testing, this was the final version of the card game and AI that I designed. Participants would play through a short tutorial and then five matches of the card game before providing their thoughts towards the AI and how it performed as well as rating their general experience with the game. The matches would alternate between the AI and the player starting the match (blue background = AI plays first, green background = player plays first).

Controls:

Use the mouse to select cards before pressing the play button to lock your choices in place. Must lock standard cards in place before being able to play mind cards.
